Big big Friday today. The day is no larger but our
update is.....
Let’s start with the mixes.
First up is new friend Braz with some Solid Steel pressure
Next up is an Agent 1 demand for a listing for Rob Booth and his Electronic Explorations show...90 minutes of twisted electronica and deep knowledge... mathematical and heavy on the bass. Check the Neil Landstrumm special.
If you have a taste for the bass, bleeps, cuts and glitches of Neil Landstrumm then you’ll want to download this mix from the man himself
One for your diaries. The MCs For Life conference will be taking place 28th and 29th June at Birmingham’s Custard Factory. The conference element appears particularly interesting with a look at language and styles of rap and the international distillation of rap such as Grime (London), Hip Life (Ghana), Timba (Cuba), Kuduro(Angola) and Kwaito (South Africa). Expect to be rubbing shoulders with Black Thought, Lord Finesse, Rich Medina, Ursula Rucker, DJ Spooky, Charlie Dark and many many more.
Still on the music front Agent 2 would like to draw your attention to the most listened to hip hop radio show on the planet - The Wake Up Show.
We particularly like the interview with DJ Qbert
Finally Agent 3 would like you all to see this.

Well we had a busy weekend for once. Friday was the
Public Enemy show at Brixton Academy....which we will
not comment on...I'd imagine that certain forums will
be buzzing with conjecture on that one. It was great
to see a reformed APC with a mystery new member and
Agents 1 and 3 giggled like schoolgirls when they
managed to catch the ping pong balls thrown into the
crowd. To everyone's surprise the Bomb Squad seemed
to have caught the dubstep bug....

Saturday Agent 1 was to be found in a small room with a very very large windmachine throwing post-it notes at willing volunteers for an advert.
Sunday we all trooped off to the new Vibe Live venue to see Agent 3 in action with Reptiles...a storming show and a handsome new venue as well. Evidence below

What's that you say? Mixes...mixes.....Ohhhhhh you
mean you want to hear several records blended
together by a man in a darkened room...why didn't you
say so. Warning there may be at least one pun in the
sentences that follow.
First here's a wonderfully eclectic mix from Switzerland's very own DJ Eclectic (I kid you not!)
And in honour of Agent 1's current obsession with Jnerio Jarel we would like to post not just one..not two...but three hard to find gems. Oh and a little piece of lunacy for your long weekend
See you all at the Tate Modern on Monday. Remember to walk slow and carry your Peter Storms

Yea and did Agent 3 return to Cargo to spread more
paint....and it was good. End transmission.

This brand new screen print will be available in the
next few days, limited to only 25 signed and numbered
editions. A2 and on beautiful 220gm woven stock. You
will be able to purchase via Agents' blog or direct
from Agent 3... Get in quick, cos if you blink,
you'll miss them...

Stepped away from the screen this lunchtime to have a
look at how they're getting on at the Tate Modern.
For once in my life I'd remembered to charge the
battery up in the old Ricoh....

Ok, so we know it's not Friday, and Friday is
designated music day. But after hearing some snippets
of audio from the brand new Kobra Audio Labs album,
we simply had to post this link to a mini mix from
it...The album is out next month and we suggest
you buy it, cos it's bloody brilliant!
And also this coming bank holiday Sunday sees the return of Reptiles to the London stage, well, the Vibe Lounge to be exact. But playing alongside Memory9, Black Grass and Full Fat should be enough to coax you all out... Plus... there's no school Monday!

Have you looked outside today ? I wouldn't like to be
painting halfway to the sky on that cherrypicker
outside the Tate Modern. To business then
- word reaches us from Stormie of Bizare's first solo show in
Athens. Having seen these images a number of
Agents have expressed a desire to retire to a
darkened room and very quietly fade away - this
truly is extraordinary work.

Juice 126 has just been on the email drawing our attention to a new show coming up at the Leonard Street Gallery from a couple of our favourite artists - Doze Green and Rostarr. If you are not familiar with either of them then we're not sure that you'd be much use at graffiti Trivial Pursuit....our advice would be to get yourself along to the gallery and drink in what promises to be a killer collaboration

And so to Cargo on a balmy Monday in May....a very
sickly Agent 3 was to be found outside painting one
of their lovely walls...behold the results. We
apologise for the not too wonderful picture but Agent
3 does have two excellent excuses - a) Ill and b)
Fighting a large crowd of milling Hoxtonians to take
the picture.

The bank holiday sort of sent us all into a bit of a
funk at Agents Towers so posts have been non existent
this week. So to make amends here's some music links
- you know the drill...it's Friday so......
First up it's Ghettoblaster Magazine - they do a monthly mixtape that has alerted us to new sounds on more than one occasion. Listen and learn as someone once said
Next up is Turntable Radio - Mr Trick's other home. All hail the Japanese podcasts
And with some insistence from Agent 1 - how's about a little black metal for the weekend sir ???
Staying with music - this delectable and highly limited edition A3 2 colour screen print will be available very soon from Myuzyk along with a CD version of Remdog's 'Shadow In Your Rear View' EP. You'd better get in quick though, as they won't be up for very long...

We've been reliably informed that it's Friday so as
is customary here's some music for the long weekend.
First up here's a mix from Agent 3's new best music friends 2600 Recordings. Those of you who know us will know that the label Wordsound factors very heavily in all our record collections - in fact Agent 1 may own more Sensational recordings than is strictly healthy and has been known to terrify his neighbours with late night Spectre sessions. So it is with some joy that we advise you to go here. Keep it illbient
We also rather enjoy a late night hit of Adult Swim - especially the backwoods stylings of Squidbillies - so here's some musical action from them and Ghostly International
Agent 2 would like to introduce a new label to you all - J-Tek. Bringing back the long lost jungle techno sound. Fusing classic 4/4 rhythms and syncopated funk breakbeats, J-Tek takes us to a classic age of electronic music (1992-1994) that was short-lived, but full of energy. Check them out here and listen to some freshness

On a non music note Agent 3 has been opening and closing Illustrator all week and this has appeared for Illustrated Ape
